Next week I start a basic photography class, dealing with film and darkroom processing. I'm not clear on what to expect, how much I'll be shooting, how easy/difficult it will be to share what I do shoot due to it being in film, etc., but I'm hoping this blog will be more active as a result - whether through scans of my film shots or maybe an overall inspiration to take pictures again as a result! We shall see :)
Long term, when I'm done all my nursing courses (the class mentioned above will fulfill my nursing goal as an elective), I'd like to take a class or two in digital photography - oooo!

Friends and family - fun, relaxed, tired.

The Ron Paul Revolution march was in DC this month! I tagged along for this one too, with a few good friends. It was a really good people watching event, and there were many many speeches, all of which I appreciated - when I agreed and when I didn't!

And Ron Paul himself :)

Jeff invited me to tag along with him at the Opera this month! I took my shots in jpeg like him, rather than RAW, with decent results.

It was a very interesting day to say the lest! We'd spent the time before the show working with a (flirty) italian maestro for head shots - I was so very impressed with Jeff's use of light! After the head shots, Jeff was missing a card reader, so I stayed behind with the camera equipment. As I packed up, a woman came in and began warming up her voice...it was the star of the show! She asked me how she looked in her gown (the red one above) and I told her "Lovely!" It was quite the treat to be with her as she got ready. Overall, a wonderful day.
